Partnering with Retirement Developers

At the Senior Move Partnership we work throughout the UK with many of the country's leading Retirement Developers. They entrust their customers to us - knowing that we make a really positive difference to a later life relocation.

It's not uncommon for a home move to be delayed or not happen at all because the older person doesn't know where to start (often having lived in the same home for 40+ years). They may be overwhelmed at the prospect of leaving familiar surroundings, not be in the best of health or have little or no family support to help them during the process. So it's one of the most important aspects of our work when we raise awareness about how a Senior Move Manager can really help.

We were delighted to be invited by Richmond Villages to speak at a recent Discovery Day at their wonderful Aston-on-Trent village in Derbyshire. Our Senior Move Manager Amanda went along and met with attendees, with it proving to be a really positive afternoon.

Amanda explained how we help clients throughout the whole moving process. From how to decide what furniture and possessions to take with them, with tips for decluttering, to the best ways to tackle unwanted paperwork and other items.

She showed that by being aware of the practical and emotional support available it's possible for an older person to have the confidence to reserve their new home and start the journey towards their new life.

We are particularly pleased to be able to share some recent feedback received about the wonderful support delivered by Amanda for clients moving into Richmond Villages :

' A friendly, personal and helpful service which took most of the pressure off the move'

' Amanda has been a delight and is covering every aspect of our move'

' ...she was always supportive and kept my feet on the ground when I felt there was no light at the end of tunnel. Of particular invaluable help, was her knowledge and contacts to aid the process of clearing, downsizing and taking things to charity'
