Georgiana Klinke - our Partner of the Month
Our Senior Move Managers are what make our service so special. Every month we like to find out and share a bit more about what they love about the role. Georgiana supports our clients moving home across London and the surrounds. Many thanks for all the kindness and great support you give to our older home movers Georgiana!!
What is your favourite part of working as a Senior Move Manager?
Seeing the smile on clients’ faces when they move into their new home and can relax! Moving house is stressful at any age and can be extremely daunting when you are faced with lots of unknowns, so being able to help each client with whatever they need is incredibly gratifying.
What part of your work do you find the hardest?
Having to say no! It is sometimes difficult not to want to do everything possible for clients, but time can be limited so we have to use discretion and know when to stop!
What did you do before becoming a SMM?
I was a Senior HR Manager in the City.
What misconceptions do people have about our work?
That we are part of the Removals team and that our remit is limited to overseeing the packing of a client’s belongings: it is so much more than that, but we can also oversee packers if required!
If you get a free moment, what do you do to unwind?
Spend time with my family travelling and skiing.
What is the most unique request you have dealt with for a client and how did you do so?
To find the ‘right home’ for a portrait of a specific Military Regiment of which one of my clients had been a member. I did lots of research and was able to contact the current Maj. Gen. of the Regiment who was delighted to have the portrait back for a charity auction to support the Regiment and was invited to my client’s home for tea to collect it in person!
