What is your favourite part of working as a Senior Move Manager?

Being in the position to help people in whatever capacity required and removing the obstacles which cause stress. To be in such a trusted position is a real honour and meeting such wonderful clients and their families, listening to their great life stories is at times inspirational. Seeing them from first contact to after they have settled in is always a pleasure and very often we pop back to see them when close by.

What part of your work do you find the hardest?

Clients who are making the move after a recent bereavement are so brave but it is emotional even though you never got to meet them, we are often handling their treasured possessions.

What misconceptions do people have about our work?

Generally it is assumed that we work for the developers and not independently so we are unable to offer support until they move when actually a great deal of our support can happen a long time before they have reached that point. Clients often don't understand the ways in which we can support .

If you get a free moment, what do you do to unwind?

Free time - what is that? There is always something to do.

What is the most unique request you have dealt with for a client and how did you do so?

The rehoming off 200 Cacti plants has to be the winner. Still in progress but they will be rehomed at The Cacti Society when the time is right.
