Meet Jo Jacob our March Partner of the Month! As always, we would like to extend a big thank you to Jo for all her hard work and support to our clients.

What is a lesson you’ve learned in this role that you didn’t expect?
Patience - going at their speed and not at the speed of clients in my own organising business.
Can you share a moment when you felt especially proud of helping a client?
I worked with a lovely recently bereaved lady who had to move out of her apartment due to building control issues. She was devastated and within the hours I managed to get her completely settled and my empathy really helped her that day and she was very thankful.
What skills have you developed the most since becoming a Senior Move Manager?
Juggling all the different clients along with running my own business. Am already a professional organiser but my admin skills have grown.
If you could change one thing about the moving process for seniors, what would it be?
That they all get to stay overnight elsewhere for 2 nights so they walk into their new home having left their old one as it was.
What is a common item that your clients struggle to part with, and how do you help them through it?
Letting go of dinner services, mugs and chrystal glasses. I help them by showing them the space they have and encouraging them to maybe keep a jug and let someone else enjoy the dinner services via their favourite charity.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering this career, what would it be?
Go for it, it is incredibly fulfilling and you really do make a difference to these people's lives.
